South Kensington Station, located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is one of the busiest stations on the London Underground, welcoming around 34 million passengers a year to the area, which includes London’s world-famous museum quarter.

Native Land and Transport for London have been developing plans to sensitively repair and enhance through development the buildings and land at South Kensington Tube station, providing new affordable and private homes, workspace, shops, and completing the delivery of step-free access to the Circle & District lines.

Extensive consultation with the local community has been undertaken on the proposals, during 2019 and early 2020, and the plans have now been submitted to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for approval.
